Just heard NFC have been offered $100K from the council for the redevelopment of Norwood Oval
Only $300K left to raise...
Have to have the $300K by Jan or council pull their money...
Heaps of notice!

Dont reckon there's anywhere near that much in the bank, good asset value, but I don't think we'd be overly liquid (obviously moreso than pre NorEast days) ... Hopefully there's enough there for this particular project though.

i'm thinking along the lines of getting the council to 'pay up' & with blokes like you, wedgie & rob gerrard there was no need for the sanfl to lend north money

Why can't the SANFL give Norwood the money. The SANFL made a $14.7 m profit last year so what is $300k. Surely some of that profit should be provided to maintain and improve SANFL grounds ?

Didn't the SANFL provide each club with money last year to upgrade their facilities - particularly the visitors rooms?? I know Glenelg are using the SANFL money as part of their fundraisng drive to up-grade Glenelg Oval facilities. New visitors changerooms and new gym for the Glenelg players.
Unley, Norwood, Alberton and Unley Oval visitor facilities have all been upgraded in the last 12 months with that money.

Yeah but it's hard seeing down that end from the Hill during the day games too lol ... The Hill is the worst place the view the footy from at Coopers, but the atmosphere is always good.

According to todays paper the upgrade is for lights only to allow Friday night games to be telecast on ABC

arent they best to spend money on getting some proper office's organised instead of being in a house. i would also be surprised if abc would telecast any night games anyway.

Offices built at the ground and the administration has already relocated to them mate.
