Jordan Bannister (ex Port rookie, aligned with CD about 5 years ago).

Ex PAMFC junior Isaac Weetra recently delisted from the Kangaroos (i think it was the Roos).

Joel Fitzgerald from Sturt.

Jordan Barham is the ex Port rookie aligned to Centrals that is one of the Maggies first recruits...

Issac weetra was delisted by Melbourne and has signed a 2 year deal with PAMFC...

Fitzgerald from Sturt will go alright at Port, a small lead up forward with great hands and good finish for goal...

I beleive Timmy G was chasing former Magpie junior Aaron Fiora but it seems like he is settled in Vic and will probably stay there...

There were links to West Australian Chad Jones as a possible recruit but that seems to have died off a bit recently...

Ah yes, getting my Jordans mixed up there.

RE Jones, i'm not sure if he's waiting til after the PSD to commit, but given nothing has been said, more than likely he won't be coming to the Magpies, which is a pity for the club as he would have been very handy. I'm sure there will be more announcements over the coming months, like there will be with the other 8 clubs as well.

When the 5RPH Thursday Night Sports Show spoke to Timmy Ginevar the other week he never mentioned anything about Jones. He said they had signed Weetra and Barham, were chasing Aaron Fiora and looking for another pacy midfielder, Jones is a forward isn't he ?

Courtney Johns was training at Port last night. Would be a very handy pickup!

Would be indeed, the Maggies need a key strong marking forward with Hargraves retiring and Waterhouse another year older...

His record and injuries suffered is the only worry you might have

2008 9 VFL + 2 AFL
2007 12 VFL + 6 AFL
2006 2 VFL + 10 AFL

(You get him for 66% of the time, the rest he is injured. So is a player of his ability at "TIMES" worth the money he would cost?????)

So does Coutney Johns becomes more of a key recruiting target for the Maggies then ???

As Dash pointed out, he is a risk in terms of injuries but when on song, he is a big lump of a lad and can take a grab, be a focal point and kick goals. Would be worth the punt I reckon, I know there are a few who don't rate him but I think he would go alright at SANFL level.
