Feasty played a huge part in bringing the club up from the depths of the table to regular finalist and premiers in 2002. A great career and big shoes for somebody to fill.

Yeah definitely a class act... every year Blues fans hoped he would come up for another season and he did time and time again, certainly one of our most favourite sons at Unley.

He'll certainly be missed, great work ethic, a real trier and certainly bled light and dark blue within.

another great career ends, he was one of sturts best players over a long period of time & one of the first picked, anyone besides me remember when he played with a big mop of hair on his head ?

Well done Simon on a fantastic career for the double blues. A player that always gave me the sh!ts as a westies supporter as he always seemed to have a 'day out' against us. Good to see he is staying on with the club in a coaching position as well.

What an absolute champion. He played through the best and worst of the SFC. Great to hear that he'll remain in the fold. His football knowledge is second to none. If he can teach others to read the play as he did he will be a huge asset to the club...

Trust me bayman. That '02 premiership was much sweeter (for me as a 30 year old) than any of our 60's premierships...

Now, my father would probably have a different opinion!

Well done Feasty. One of those blokes that I always wished wasn't playing against the Bays as he always seemed to put in extra....

A huge acquisition for Sturt in Coaching ranks.

The most loyal person I have met at Sturt.

Good Luck Simon! :D :D

Sturt's ruck stocks are going to be in serious trouble next year.
Angus Kurtze will be rookie drafted by Essendon tomorrow.
On top of the loss of Feast and DeLuca this will be disastrous for the Blues.

He might also be the ruck coach since I heard Frenchy is not going to be there in 2009. I think Frenchy has work comitments.

There's a few "whispers" going around over on the SAAFL link that Feasty may pull on the boots at times next year for PAOC ???

Would only be when Sturt don't play Saturday arvo I guess. He would be better suited as ruck coach one would feel...

True, only problem is the way things are going there may not be any ruckmen left at Sturt to coach
