Sturt Supporters

Young Hurley who was showing great promise and may have got drafted all for the serious leg injury

What has happened to him in 2008 and what was his progress?????/

he had a consistent year in the 2's, played most games but just could not break into the seniors
obviously has fallen behind a few other players but hopefully he will hang in there and his chance will come again
he is a quality player, just needs to stay focused

With a knee injury in a trial game straight after him not getting drafted when most thought he would I felt his confidence was a little down this year.

In saying that he still would only be 19 and has whole footy career still ahead of him - we will probably see him back in the seniors in 2009 !!!

2009 will be the year he will try to get back into the seniors. I would say that he would be happy that he got through this year unscathed with any more knee injuries.

Tommy lost his confidence after that injury.

He's a gun person and player and will play League in 2009. :D

Such a shame he was overlooked in the draft...who knows where his career could be right now if he had been...

Very true. Played an outstanding game for Sturt in their loss th the Dogs at Unley in 2006.

one game shouldn't get you drafted :wink: , although it happened for lindsay smith, had a great game against sturt at unley & got drafted on that 1 game & i'm not sure he ever played an afl game at the finish (wasn't many if he did)

He will be part of our First 21 in 09. :D :D :D :D :D
