Hi everyone,
The 5RPH Summer Sports Show is on each week at 8pm - 9pm. Each week will feature members of the RPH team, looking at all things summer sport, as well as the SANFL. Tonight's show will feature an interview with South Adelaide coach Clay Sampson, as we look indepth at the Panthers. We will also look at a number of other sports, including NBL, gridiron, cricket and many more
Look forward to hearing from any listeners on 8231 1197 for some talkback, time permitting. Join Phil Herden and myself on 1197AM.
Cheers
CK

Last week's look at the SANFL was supposed to start with an in-depth look at West Adelaide. After spending more time talking about Sturt (I think), all we got was a rushed interview with Damian Phillips right at the end of the show.
I bet the other sides will be treated more kindly.

They did last two years when Mr Blandis was still at RPH.
I think Sturt is due on Thursday November 20th.
GO STURT!

The plan prior to Christmas is to cover each SANFL club one at a time with a coaches interview during the program.
That frees up the rest of the show to cover the very diverse array of summer sports there are on offer.
Each pairing that is rostered on will be something different to the show I am sure.
What happens after Christmas and leading into the 2009 season is still to be finalised.

Don't forget the show is on tonight, in about half hour...
The boys will have a bit to talk about with their North Adelaide segment, just a few recruits by the Roosters in the last few days...

Good interview by Sandy and Nanks with Daniel Healy and Damon White from North Adelaide...
Heals, as he always has, spoke very open and honestly and was frank in saying he thought North were fat and slow in the midfield this year. Said that the boys can get ready for a tough slog in pre season starting on Monday 3rd November. He also spoke about some of the players who will not be there in 2009 and mentioned that Nathan Lonie has decided to go back home to Victoria after being delisted by the Power.
Damon White said he was keen to play in the backlines for season 09, especially with Ben Shwarze coming on board, probably playing out of the goal square. Heals mentioned that Damon White played a big part in getting Cain Ackland over to the Roosters and that there were a few clubs throwing more money at Cain but his friendship with Damon, from the Power days, was the sealer.
Well done boys, great show tonight, as always, keep up the good work. Looking forward to other clubs reviews in coming weeks.

Good to see Cain keeping up the North tradition of playing for less there than at other clubs

Thanks for the summary mate, as I missed it tonight.
Sounds like Cain is there for the right reasons, we'll need him firing with Budgie O'Hara being out for the year.
I'm looking forward to 09 but with such a large turnover of players with so many of the 08 squad departing Im sure it wont be as easy as it'll look on paper.
