Ward's gone to free up cap space, good player but you dont want to spend 10% of your cap on an injury prone flanker.
O'Briens gone back to WA as not good enough to get in best 21 and girlfriend is homesick.
Brett White also injury prone and struggles to make best 21.
A few others have moved on like has happened at every club but nothing newsworthy.
Healy saw a lot of SANFL in 08 due to his role with the Power and is a very honest operator which is a nice change.
Injury Prone (Daniel Ward)
Played 15/20 senior games + 1 ressie game.
Was in the best 5 (7 out of a possible 15 games), not bad for an injury prone player
Brett White (Made the team, best 21 selected, 17 out 20 times) and was vice captain
I do believve there is a personal issue with Ward as well so that calls fair enough to not renew his contract, it may be mutural.
Brett White could turnout a Dean Howard at another club but what I believe is the way he found out prior to his 4.30 meeting about 2009, to treat your vice captain that way is pretty ordinary, would take a Brett White at Westies any day
