Well done to both winners, particulary Luke Powell who often had to shoulder the responsibility of creating midfield opportunities through sheer guts and determination. Mark McKenzie also a great result and his class makes him a deserved winner as well.

Would that be the 3rd time in our history that the club champion has been tied.

I know it's been tied once before, not sure if this is the third.

I stand corrected before this season there has only been 1 tie - 1999 Gavin Colville & Adam Pearce

With Mark McKenzie's win this season he becomes the 3rd person in club history to win 3 or more club champion awards.

Gavin Colville (4) 1999, 2000, 2001, 2004
Andrew Rogers (3) 1993, 1995, 1996
Mark McKenzie (3) 2005, 2006, 2008

Well done to all winners, in particular Mark and Luke who both had excellent seasons out of a team who did not have enough consistent performers.

Yes he is, might need to lose some weight, not to much, just a little.

Luke Powell has been one of our best pick-ups from interstate. Always gives 100%, very team orientated and is a respected leader amongst the players.

We have some very disappointed 19 year olds , having been told to look elsewhere , and not even try to impress during preseason . Footys a tough enviroment for kids even at SANFL level .

I was told the Eagles had informed some young players of their delistings via mail, 2 players inparticular- Tomkins Medallist Shane Harris & U/19s Captain J. Taylor.
I find this hard to believe so i'm asking if anyone from Eagleland can confirm this right here & now?
I have heard Pt Districts are interested in them both & may have already touched base with them.

Harris definately been told his services are no longer required.

Someone else will grab him, several other SANFL clubs have shown interest already.

If not, then a good chance he will be wearing black, teal and white in 2009, in D3 SAAFL.

I would think CD would confirm or deny this ?
