Who will coach Sturt in 2009?

Postby TigerBoss » Tue Oct 14, 2008 8:53 am

Jars?

I know Mick Godden was shortlisted for the North Adelaide coaching role, but overlooked for Daniel Healy, but Sturt would be doing themselves a disservice if they didn't at least look at him.

As much as I'd hate to lose Godden from the Bay, it is inevitable that he will be a senior coach one day, according to Mickan and players involved down the Bay.

Other names you'd throw up would be:

Nathan Buckley
Roger James
Peter Jonas
Ben Hart
Adam Kingsley
Luke Norman

You'd think Norman would get the job after leading Sturt 2s to a flag. However as TB said Micky Godden would be excellent, would hate to see him leave the Bay but he is a very good senior coach in the making.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Well you can rule out Ben Hart if he wasn't going to leave the Crows for North Adelaide (when hew as chased very hard) he certainly won't leave them for Sturt.

Mind you if he did it would speak volumes of the behind the scenes shennigans at North.

All I can say is I am glad he didn't take over the Eagles this year.He joins a number of SANFL coaches who coach one year then jump to the AFL.

Norman should be a shoe in unles he follows him to Hawthorn as well
