Yes it is now official.

The doggies will not win again this season. While some of the forecasts on this site have been a little premature this can now be confirmed as fact.

Another fact is the dogs are planning their next match to be an internal trial to help build the skills and confidence of their players.

A source close to the club has also suggested that Roy Laird will not be offered more than a 5 year extension to his contract.

Things really are that serious

I wrote this after getting home after being at Elizabeth Oval and having a few beers.

Couldn't resist it after reading all season from 1 or 2 about how the doggies were gone.

Dude. Just about every poster on this site predicted that the Dogs would finish top. You have to scatch about with a hand trowel to find those that had anything negative to say amongst the hundreds that said the opposite!

Who did an encore after round 17.

Still waiting for that coup to topple Roy Laird to take place :D

Talking about encores, would love to be at the brewery this morning with KG singing the Centrals club song in response to opening his mouth just a little too wide again during the season.

Roy has taken the dogs to a GF every year he has coached them and won 5 and lost 1.

That surely is the best record in the SANFL?

Dutchy, if you mean KG singing the club song and signing up as a paid up club member, he promised it at last years chimney unveiling. Although now his memory is fading.

Just got back from the chimney unveiling.KG did sing the Dogs' Club song and was presented with a membership pack which included a scarf that he wore for the rest of the proceedings. He protested much but took it in good humour and it was a fun moment. Good on him for that.

Just got back from the chimney, thoroughly enjoyed myself. Enjoyed Soderstrom's roving interviews. It was fun having the banter between the crowd and KG. Slade had little voice left :). I've said it once, I'll say it again, Sibenaler is a worry :D . Dutshke did the rope climb, and was concerned when he started to take off his belt.

All up, everyone from the club presented themselves well (well, as well as can be after 36 hours of celebrating hehe).

You got to hand it to KG..

He certainly is an icon in South Australia, his input at 5aa will be sadly missed..
his knowledge on sport is fantastic ..

Go KG....you are a top bloke.
