RUNDLE MALL

Come on, all Glenelg, Central & football supporters in general, get down to Rundle Mall today at 1pm for the presentation of the players from both sides. KG & Cornsey will be doing a live broadcast, so it's also a good opportunity for a bit of a laugh as well. I'll be drinking pints in The London Tavern at midday if anyone's interested.

Rundle Mall Grand Final Parade

So who is going to be heading into the Mall this afternoon for the Grand Final Parade, hosted by KG and Cornsey ???

I used to go all the time when it was at West Lakes Mall and haven't yet been to one in the Mall. Will be heading in shortly actually, have a bit of birthday money to spend on myself...

Last year, from the pictures I saw on telly and in the paper, it looked like there was more North supporters than Doggies fans but it could have been deceptive with the Red & White against the Red, White and Blue. This year, will be easy to differentiate the 2 supporter groups. One would feel with the so called "Bays Bandwagon" (and of course the loyal, long time "full time" followers) in full swing that we could maybe expect a bit more Black and Gold down there today...

Anyway, I'm about to go in the shower and then head on in there, I'll let you know what it's like when I get home from Doggies training down at Max Basheer Reserve, straight afterwards.

GO DOGGIES & BAYS !!!!

BP

That's one thing you can count on

Soak it up Bays fans, most North supporters really enjoyed it last year (there wasn't much to enjoy after  )

I reckon there was a lot more North fans last year BP, I know a lot of Dogs fans had been there done that and didn't bother, it was all relatively new for North fans and they showed up in droves.

Haven't been for years, I think you are right Ian - some things you can't be stuffed doing every year, this parade is one of them. Chimney ceremony never gets old though.

This is the first time in 3 years I've been able to go to one (though the last time I went to one was in 2003 back when it was at West Lakes). Even purchased my GF tickets from City Cross and my Budget from under the canopy.

Decent turnout, much better atmosphere than in past years IMO, hopefully a sign of things to come.

There was a great turn out in the Mall this morning...

The Snouts congregated just to the left of the centre stage (looking out from the stage) and the Doggies fans were up the back and off to the right. Maybe 51% Glenelg to and 49% to Centrals but both were very loud and proud when they played the respective club songs. Was a beautiful day in the mall today and great to see all the passionate fans, and get my Budget early.

Bring on tomorrow, can't wait now, will be a big day...

Our son saw his sixth Doggies Grand Final 'Mall Player Presentation' today, our baby daughter was at her first. :)

Personally, I've never missed one. The way I figure, if I want the club to put on its best show when it counts, the least I can do is make the effort to be there when the the club is out there on display (likewise, never left FP after a Grand Final until every player has left the field - regardless of the result - but that's another matter.)
