I notice that "Petanque" got a mention but nothing about U19 and Reserves Preliminary Final results of this state's National game. The Advertiser sports editor and staff should be ashamed of this oversight.
Advertiser newspaper (and you can hardly call it one) s(T)inks to a new low

CD - we need to call on your expertise to deliver the club's best players for the Eagles U19 and reserves grades for Sunday. You seem to be the only person that can be relied upon.

The question is, were the results sent to the Tiser?
They've run them every other week of the season, so there's no reason for them not to - unless they weren't sent...

Usually the home team manager phones in the results and best players of both teams. I don't know if this was done after either game yesterday.

I thought the Team Managers handed the info to the "Reporter on Duty" who sorted them out - in this case, Warren Partland. Did he lose them or forget what to do with them?

From what I understand with the Juniors is the home Team Manager usually rings the paper with the info. Why would the team manager give anything to Warren Partland anyway probably put the info wrong, like the info about Sturt being the first club to have all four grades in their respective GFs this year (if they had won the league on Sunday) and we all know that that is not the case.

He was probably too busy counting free kicks to worry about other less significant details
