That's a very good crowd, and I think that would be a great result for the WAFL.

Now let's get 35k at ours!

Good to see, but when you have 2 sh*thouse AwFuL teams in your state, your long term memory comes back and you realize that you used to support a team way back when.

VFL GF will be interesting as they're playing at the Dome this Friday night (tickets are $25).
Not sure how the Prelim today went but if the GF is half as good as the Prelim I watched on TV yesterday between Pt Melbourne and Williamstown then it'd be awesome, best non AFL game Ive seen since the Crows entered the AFL.

interesting that today the Dogs were the least supported team of the 4 IMO, actually suprised me how few there were

Now I know I'll get bagged for this, but I know a few Central fans and while they were never huge fans to begin with, they really don't care any more. So do this prove bandwaggoners will only stay for so long, regardless of success?

NFC I would like to be smart a**ed about this, and say we poor people from Lisbeth only have so much money, so save our hard earned for G.F tickets knowing we will be there.. :) :)

but in this I do agree with you, I have said to my wife every year since the 2000 win, That I had never seen so many dog supporters.....and I suppose after so many years some will stop coming to games...and we have had the big four (Port,Norwood,Sturt and Glenelg) in this years final series, so eventually we will be outnumbered.

Cheers, ironically I think I'll be going for the Boroughs to beat the Roosters.
It was good to see/hear Gary Ayres coaching the Boroughs at 1/4 and 3/4 time too, he seems to be really enjoying himself at that level and good on him.

Also yesterday John Northey's side (didn't realise he was still coaching) won the Ballarat comp, its good to see coaches who coached at the highest level continuing their trade at lower levels as they can pass on so much.

It wasn't too bad a crowd at the WAFL Grand Final considering it was a cold, blustery day in Perth. The wind that was at storm strength towards midday so I reckon a few neutral ssupporters would have opted to watch the game on TV instead.

A flag woulda been nice from the Swannies.
Nattanui's last game for the Black Ducks I would strongly suspect.

"Curtain raiser" for the VFL GF is the TAC cup GF. Expect a bigger crowd at the VFL GF than previous years because of this.
TAC cup GF previously a curtain raiser to the AFL GF.
I reckon more people will be there for the TAC cup game than the VFL one.

Only if selected by a club outside WA.

Has a lot of development to go. Much has been made of his athleticism and he is a freak in that department, his tackling is as good as anyone which is helped by his speed, but his ball handling skills are shocking and need a lot of work.

Went through the down years of the '70s but tradesman-like players like Tom Bell, Tom Mullolly (played cricket for WA), Stan Nowotney, mIKE Richardson, Ian Williams, Max George, Graeme Melrose, Bill Walker, Gerard Neesham - and never saw a flag because I buggered off to SA in 1981.
Will see them win one day....
