Final score:

Norwood 4.2 9.4 15.8 18.11 119
Port 3.3 7.5 11.7 15.8 98

Goals:
Norwood:
Walker 7, Bartamucci, Gallagher, Donohue 2, Speight, Littler, Phillips, Dawes, Cockshell
Port: Waterhouse 4, Hargraves 3, Looby 2, Clayton, Claton, Clinch, Elstone, Summerton, Thurgood

Fantastic win by the Legs, Trevor Hill is doing a marvellous job and has Norwood hitting well above their weight category.
Walker was sensational, but it sounded like Norwood had lots of great players in Zorzi, Weatherald, Gallagher and many more!
Hopefully the injuries wont be too bad for the 1st semi next week
Ports terrible recent finals record continues!
Ginever not good in these big matches!

I thoght Port would be Montys for this match, by far a better team and side on paper (and from what I've seen this year) Games of footy aren't won on paper though...

I expected Port to win too but when you have an 18 year old kick 7 goals you have a pretty big chance...

Same here Tassie, I had some cash on Port but full marks to Norwood and their coach in Trevor Hill, fantastic effort. Gutsy win, I bet their supporters will enjoy that after recent years and deservedly so, enjoy the moment Norwood supporter!
My Mum and Dad will be happy! :D

Great courageous team effort.

Surely Walkers last year in this comp. this kid is brilliant, know there were calls for the Crows to play him earlier, now is getting good pressure grounding as well, doesnt seem to miss to many at goal and hands quite a few out as well, well done the the NFC, won with no-one basically left on the bench from early in the game

Well done to Norwood today, Walker & Gallagher were the difference between both sides.
Why didn't Craigy give this bloke an opportunity this year before Dangerfield??got me f----d.
Walker could be the next Pavlich, i know big call but i like what i see with this young bloke.
Port had their opportunities today but played very indirect footy on alot of occasions, when going with the breeze why p!ss around with it wide when you can go down the corridor? shortest way home & quickest way to score but if Port had a Walker they would of won by 3-4 goals.
Anyway thats as far as Port deserved to of got this year, the top 3 sides is where the flags gonna come from.

Port has now lost the last 4 finals appearances - the 2005 2nd Semi to Central, Preliminary to Eagles, 2006 Elimination to South and today. This is the first time that Port has lost 4 consecutive finals since 1987 - when they went out in straight sets in 1986 and 1987. Port also lost the 1984 Grand Final for 5 losses in a row there.

Since 2000, Port has won 2 and lost 8 finals. This is the worst 10 finals sequence that Port has had since the period of 1915 to 1928, when they only won 1 and drew 1 in 12 finals.

RPH have just chatted to Trev Hill at halftime and asked him how the lad is and what happened.

Aaron is concussed but Trev said they weren't sure at this stage what had happened.

This was a classic match between the two old rivals. I got there at qtr time and not long after there was that sickening clash on the members wing with the Norwood player that ran back with the flight ending up going off on the stretcher. Typified the way Norwood went about it all day. Port were desperate as well, but Norwood had Walker up forward who proved the difference. I thought the lack of numbers on the interchange bench might catch up with Norwood as the afternoon went on, but their runners kept on keeping on and wouldn't let Port gain any real momentum. I was impressed with the work in the forward line of the two small blonde haired lads - who chased and harrassed all day and kicked some important goals.

A fantastic win by the Redlegs. I do think Sturt will prove too classy for them next week, but you've got to be in it to win it and with a 4 quarter performance like they produced today and some dominant performances up forward from one of their talls, they do stand a chance.

A lot of the accolades quite rightly go to WALKER for his efforts in 2008
But Ive spotted a kid who will also be a sensational AFL player in KITE

And I still dunno what happened to KITE today when carried off
