Alleway in Queensland Team of the Year

Postby Wedgie » Wed Sep 10, 2008 8:07 pm

Newman from the Roost posted this and I thought it would be of interest in here too as its a positive not just for Clint and the NAFC but recognition of the strength of the SANFL as a whole:

I saw this article in yesterday's Courier Mail here in Brisbane.

'St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt has been named captain of the AFLQ/Courier-Mail Queensland team of the year.

Clint Alleway is the first player to be selected from outside the AFL system. He was best on ground for South Australia in its interstate win over Victoria in June and leads the SANFL in marks. Max Hudghton, Gavin Urquhart, Brad Miller, Kurt Tippett and David Armitage are the other new faces.'

Well done Clint !

Disappointed for Craney, but not sure what it says about the game development in Qld if they cant get 22 from the AFL.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
