Nice try ME...
Should be a good game this, both sides have a few league fringe players involved and will be giving it their all because of the sudden death nature but I think the Dogs will get up just
GO DOGGIES...

I'll try and make it early and check the centre square as it was a little bit dodgy the last time I was there with the Eagles underage.

Will be as hard as a rock with the dry weather we've had this week...
Hopefully the ground staff pump a bit of water on it....

Reserves are always hard to pick, but normally once a league team stops playing the reserves get a little stronger. If the eagles get a couple of inclusions from the league side then they should get over the top of us. On the other hand if there are any dogs players hopeful of cracking the league team then this is the chance to show what they've got.

For those that are interested, our reserves side are playing in an a do or die elimination final today against Woodville West Torrens down at Challenge Recruitment Oval, Glenelg. As per the normal reserves start time, the game kicks off at 11.15am. Make sure if you can get down there, head along and cheer the 2's home to a win hopefuly. Damian Hicks has done a pretty good job in his first season as a senior coach and it is important, I think, for the league side that the ressies and still playing finals, giving fringe players an opportunity to still play and keep in form.
Will be a tough game for them, the Eagles have a few "league" players in their side, as do we, but it is fair to say our side has struggled for consistancy in recent weeks, in fact all season really. It should be a good game of footy, and of course, conditions will be perfect down Glenelg today. If you are intersted, here is the 2 "squads" for this mornings game:
CENTRALS:
Barmby, Brading, Cowan, Duncan, Dunne, Foldesdy, Hynes, Kelly, Matson, McGrath, McShane, Moss, Officer, Porter, Sharpe, Shaw, Slattery, Spurr, Trevena, Whiley, White
EAGLES: (from)
Klun, R.Fiacchi, Lee, McEntee, Allmond, Staple, Smith, Couch, Jolly, C.Fitzgerald, Gogoll, Papps, C.Grocke, J.Brusnahan, Malinovski, von Bertouch, Pavlich, Arbon, Williamson, Ford, Turner, Goldsworthy, Z.Fitzgerald, Turner, J.Redden, J.Polec, Lane, Edwards
Good to see Charles Slattery named again, despie fears he hurt his knee again against West Adelaide a couple of weeks back. Of course, there will be one more player to come into Centrals line up from the league sides extended interchange bench. At this stage I think it will be Louis Hadden and would say, if Slatts is fit and plays, that North recruit Owen Sharpe might be the unlucky reserves player to miss out. Make sure you get down there if you can, see ya there...

Eagles won by approx 7 goals
Very poor kicking early by eagles but got better as game went on - it was something like 15-18 to 10-6 but at one stage was 5 -11 to 4 - 3
Strong breeze to school end - Eagles won toss but only 23 points up at quarter time and breeze worth 5 IMO. 3-6 to 0-1
Half time Eagles by 2 goals.
Three quarter time up by just over 5 goals - not really 100% safe but got out to 8 goals up in last quarter -outscoring the dogs into the wind.
Very solid performance by all.
Best for WWTFC - Malinovski, Guffrieda, Allmond, Williamson, Papps, Edwards, Lee

Looks like we play North next week.
I think they'll have the Reserves game next week before the U19s Semi (the one with the Eagles) at Norwood.
