THE FINALS

The SANFL's fiercest rivals, the Port Adelaide Magpies and Norwood, will clash in the elimination final at Adelaide Oval on Sunday. The Magpies earned a spot in the major round with a comfortable victory over Woodville-West Torrens at Alberton today while Norwood stayed alive in the race for the title despite losing to Glenelg at the Bay.

Glenelg, now favourite for the flag, claimed its first minor premiership since 1981 and will have a bye in the first week of finals.

Reigning premier Central District will meet Sturt in the qualifying final, the second match of the double header at Adelaide Oval.

It is a rematch of Saturday night's encounter at Elizabeth when the Bulldogs upset the Double Blues. The loss cost Sturt top spot on the ladder.

Magpie onballer Jeremy Clayton claimed The Advertiser Player of the Year award when he gained one vote for his efforts against the Eagles.

Incorrect, Sturt still favourites for the flag at the Bookies, amazingly Sportsbet opened Glenelg up at $3.50 this morning  (After Sturt $2.50 & Dogs $3.00)

Ah but if you notice...he doesn't actually say whose favourite they are...could be his granny's favourite or picked from a list by his canary for all we know

That is indeed Excellent Value For Money. The SANFL is to be congratulated for keeping the price at this level.

$10 for 3 games of finals footy even better. Hope the U17's get a crowd in to watch them as well.

Going by the last couple of years, I doubt it until near the end, the quality of footy they usually produce is worthy of a good crowd though.
