Only 2 points in it from 4th to 7th. How close was that this year.

Sad reading though, North in 7th after last years GF appearance.

You get the feeling the opinions of most of us about three months wouldn't have changed. The top 3 are streets ahead and all are on fairly even footing - Glenelg having the advantage of the first week off and one win from a GF. But, anything can happen on the day and if you're there you're in with a chance.

Always enjoy the first two weeks of finals in particular with the double headers - hopefully good weather and the full attention of the Adelaide media due to the absence of the Crows and Power, will see massive crowds at the Oval and a GF at Footy Park that will out number the Showdown and Crows Final crowd!

That's very true, but sh*t...you'd have to be a happy footy supporter tonight if you are a Bay fan. Didn't think we'd get this far, but the team has proved me wrong. Minor Premiers for the first time since 1981. Still not over by a long shot ! The Doggies would have to be G.F. faves at the moment and next week's game against Sturt will be a cracker !

Hooray!! Norwood on Sunday will no longer be the team with the longest current finals drought. :)

So 1 kick(point or goal) from South when they drew with Norwood would mean that the redlegs wouldn't be playing finals due to their inferior % to the eagles. It is good for the SANFL to see the redlegs and magpies in the finals though.

That would be the first time for many seasons that the doggies Against points were not the lowest in the league! Although it is lower than any of the teams below us it indicates the improvement this year of defense for Glenelg and Sturt. Important for finals!
