Eagles will win this one...

Any word on whether Surjan and Peter Burgoyne are playing for Port this week?

I would assume, like previous years, that anyone who played AFL last week wouldn't be able to play SANFL this week - which means Burgoyne won't qualify for finals if they made it.

So that is why Stewart is not playing for us

if so, what a stupid rule. for players like Marlon Motlop who play all year and play 2 games for port then cant play in Norths reserves finals team. so i cant see that rule being true.
i heard on MMM that Burgoyne and surjan are playing as well

If the players have qualified for finals previously, they can still play finals.

It happened to Tom Logan and Ryan Willits in 2006 - could not play for Glenelg in Round 23 due to this rule.

Matty Westhoff named in the Dogs extended squad but based on this rule, he will not play Saturday night...

Usually this time of year, the AFL clubs come out and advise the SANFL clubs and the public who they are letting play in the local league.

Won't matter to us, unless this match is a draw and Norwood lose, Aerie. ;)

Classic example why there shouldnt be draws in our game....how good would extra time be if tied away at the final siren, with the prize of finals on the line..

Anyone who honestly believes Eagles and Port would play for a draw really has no appreciation for what both teams are trying to achieve.

If it does end up a draw, as a Norwood supporter I'll be pointing to all those games we let slip during the year when we were in commanding positions, not a freak occurance in the last minor round.

Like the classic extra time game with Port and Centrals in the early to mid 90's...

Pitty the result didn't go our way but it was an enthralling battle and would be great to see extra time again in the SANFL

Eagles for me as well and obviously most people see the eagles winning as it was 83% eagles and 17% port when i voted.

It won't be as clear cut on Sunday, that's for sure. Particularly when you consider last Sundays effort from Port.

that was in a final & all finals bar the grand final has extra time

this game will not be a draw & as for getting rid of draws dutchy that takes away another emotional feeling at the footy, the vics are ruining the game enough without suggestions of more changes to our great game, if anyone wants to back adraw in the port v eagles game pm me & you can have 100/1
