Great work BP! Thanks for the shelter too mate!

Thankyou for the kind words Wedgie but smoking 20 ciggies a day and pushing 125kg on the scale isn't exactly "looking fit" one would think. I guess being 6"2 helps spread the load a little... At least that's what I tell my self. Great to meet you too Wedgie, no worries with the sharing of the brollie, it was big enough for 3 or 4 of us at the end there and I actually got noticed up in the commentary box by Phil Herden and on the call mentioned that I seemed to have a "fan club" gathering in my general vacininty. Doing the Boundary Rider for Life, I just kindly mentioned that I was keeping a few fellow SAFooty.com posters nice and dry from the conditions.
Full credit to North for the way they played today, were clearly the beter team on the day. Very dissapointing effort from the league side today, and te ressies for that matter, esecially as we were coming of a great win against Glenelg the week before. Conditions were absolutely horrible and doing the boundary rider for LifeFM's call of the game I witnessed some of the mud puddles first hand. Was a tough hard slog in the 1st half and although many tipped a Dogs win by how much, I thought the Roosters were more desperate to win the footy and of course more discipline than a few of our more seasoned campaigners. We clearly had too many passengers today and North simply were willing to be first at the ball and were willing to put their body on the line more than we did.
As good as North played for 4 quarters, again, the story of our season was the fact we were just unable to put a full game together with the terribly dissapointed stat of being held goal less for the entire second half. Phil Herden, from LifeFM and I were discussing before the bounce that maybe the mind set of Centrals would be a little lacking because of the fact that they could not lose 3rd spot regardless of the result while the Roosters were playing to keep their top 5 chances alive. I think we proved, especially in the second half, that this was the case. I must say, it was an interesting experience listening to Jars' 3/4 time address up close and personal for my LifeFM role, he certainly is a passionate man isn't he. Coached the side well today I thought and backed his kids who came through and delivered for him and each other.
I don't think those kind of conditions suit our style of play and I guess we can take onus in the fact that the finals will be played at Adelaide Oval and hopefully in much better weather than today. It comes as no suprise that the umpiring display today was criticised but to be hinest, they paid the man in front and in the backs when they were there and when we became undiscipline on more than one occasion, it was dealt with accordingly. North were too good on the day, we have a long way to go still but thankfully we have a week off to get a few players back and rest sore bodies then on to Noarlunga to face the Panthers from South Adelaide.
