SOUTH’S TARAK REDIGOLO WINS ROUND 18
COCA-COLA STAR SEARCH AWARD NOMINATION

Tarak Redigolo from the South Adelaide Football Club has been named the Round 18 Coca-Cola Star Search Award nominee.

The 17 year old started his playing career with the McLaren Football Club and has worked his way through South’s ranks to make his debut in the League team this year.

His first League match was the Round 10 clash against Central District, where he kicked two goals.

Redigolo has already made a significant impact on ground, showcasing a tough, relentless playing style.

He is currently juggling footy commitments with Year 12 studies at Woodcroft College.

Redigolo is South’s fourth Coca-Cola Star Search nominee for season 2008.

Well deserved

Tough as nails is Tarak. Peter Rolfe has been stiff to not get a nomination, especially after his 5 goals against the bays.

It is great to see the junior players in our league side being at least one really positive part of the club this year. Four awards this year is a great effort and suggests that if we can retain some of these lads on our list we may well take the next step next season! Well done Tarek!

Well done Tarak, have seen him a couple of times thi year and have been very impressed with the youngster...

I think he might not have much of an SANFL career in the immediate future whatever, reckon their might be a few AFL clubs showing interest...

Certainly some wonderful recognition for some very hard work. Not a flashy player by any means but a real in and under type.
I hate to say this but I believe South will more than likely lose Redigolo, Boyd and Rolfe in the draft this year.

The only thing against them being drafted is their size/height the AFL really like the taller option and this years draft is apparently a strong one but all are wonderful players with exciting futures hopefully one more (at least) year with the Panthers. Four nominations for a team sitting 8th all looks forward to a bright future down south.....at last.
