Adrian Wilson

It appears that Adrian may be back in the red, white & blue at Central District in 2009.
By all accounts the former Essendon rookie listed player, now playing with amateur club Kilburn, is disappointed at the nature of his exit from the club last season and is keen to have another crack at league level.
He has started a fitness program, including weights and running, that will see him ready to undertake pre-season with the club.

That would be great news DW...

I've watched with great interest the resulkts from Kilburn and have noticed that on most occassions Whoopie is mentioned in the best players or goal kickers. Is simply too good a footballer to be playing Division 3 amateur league. Hopefully his cousin, Alex Stengle (who left Centrals mid season this year to go out to Kilburn) might follow suite and head back to Elizabeth Oval as well.

Good luck to Adrian if he does decide to try a comeback to SANFL football, I'd love to see him in Doggies colours once more...

Ed Sansbury will be back as well, but would struggle to make your league team...

Anyone that kicked 5 in a league Grand Final would be able to find a spot in the side I reckon Dutchy...

Ed has been in good form for North Ballarat in the VFL and I would think with the impending retirement of a few league players, Eddie would slot nicely into our midfield rotation or play as a permanent goal sneak.

All this assuming he will be delisted by the Kangaroos but I think it is highly likely to happen...

Adrian is too much of a talent wasted in the amateur league.

Don't think so, I'm pretty sure he has a young family now and would be settled back in Adelaide after a few years over in Melbourne...

I hope he decides to make a come back, along with cousin Stengle like I said previously. He is too good a footballer to be playing Div 3 for sure.

Adrian's old man was one of the greats of the club and Adrian could be as good if not better. The question is not talent it's motivation. If he could find that again he will be around for a long time.

Given Roy's stance with Stengle a few weeks ago, would Adrian be welcomed back or be sent packing?

Perhaps a new season will provide the opportunity to wipe the slate clean and allow new impressions to be made. For Adrian's sake I hope so (if he is indeed contemplating a return).
