I didn't think Tippett would play for us :( . It will be interesting to see if Gray does play for the Power he has missed a fair bit of footy. It was also good to hear that young Stanley's knee injury will see him require no surgery and he will miss about 6-8 weeks as it was feared it would be a full knee reco.

IN: Saunders, C Carr, Clinch, Mercer

OUT: Burgoyne, Johncock, Hargraves

Dean Mercer comes in for his debut game and will play at full forward.

20 years old, 189cm and 86kg. Very well built kid and has kicked a bunch of goals in the juniors in the past few years.

In 06 in the U19s he kicked 62 goals in 19 games and last year he kicked 44 goals in 7 games. He made it for 11 reserves games last year. Took a while to get going but in the end ended with 18 goals in 11 games. This year has brought his U19 form to reserves level kicking 23 goals in 5 games.

Good luck to him.

Hargraves is an interesting out i think he has 15 or 16 goals against us in the two games thus far. Is he injured or dropped?

Heard on the 5RPH show last night that he has a groin injury I think ? They actually interviewed Daniel earlier in the show but he didn't mention anything about the injury ? He did have a few interesting things to say about the situation with him leaving North Adelaide though...

The Hargraves omission really puts Port right back...Waterhouse is still very dangerous, but you'd argue that Cupido and Willits could be just as dangerous, if not more, down the other end.

The big thing that will go a long way to determining if Westies can get up, is if they can limit the effectiveness of Summerton, Dolling, and J. Clayton...these three blokes see a lot of the pill...
