The Business end of the season is here...

Postby Dog_ger » Tue Jul 29, 2008 5:56 pm

In your oppinion Footysa'ers

Does your Team have a chance in 2008 to drink champers from the CUP...?

I think we are good enough to play in the GrandFinal.

Only History suggests we will win it.

There are two VERY GOOD teams above us..! =D>

Can't go past the Dogs in the crunch finals matches...regardless of how they've fared all season. I'll be VERY nervous come finals time if the Bays come up against the Dogs...

If we are favorites, i'd call us joint favorites with the other top 3 teams, rather than outright - but as i've said, anything less than the flag is a disappointment.

spot on TB

id like to play sturt or any other side in a final - G/F but not the doggies because of finals experience and even south who seem to know how to beat us but no-body else.

Whilst they have been a rung below the Bays all season, I'd be VERY wary of the Blues come finals time, think they'll get a few of their boys back from the AFL and already have great depth, just got a feeling this season might not be as one-sided as many pundits think.

As for my team, reckon they'll just miss out on the finals ... At best they'll get there and could possibly win an Elim, but imho we're realistically looking more toward 09 onward before we might pose a legitimate threat.

We have a very small chance of making the GF and winning it, about 500-1

As a Blues supporter i am really happy with where the lads are currenty heading into finals. I think the thing that we have the others dont is the 3 key forward targets and quality people at there feet. Chambers, Perrie, Gum, Coad, Crane, sharples, fittock. I watched the Centrals v Sturt Game and Centrals seem to lack something they used to have that really showed them as a powerhouse. I cant put my finger on it however. I dont think the teams fear them as much anymore. Sturt still have 5 to come back into there best 22 and should shape up nicely come finals.

I havent seen much of Glenelg but they seem to be a team oriantated group and a if a few players are down or have bad days could struggle.

GLENELG and STURT miles infront of the rest IMO can never count out the dogs but like i said they seem to be a shadow of there previous standard
