I have good news for a promising Eagles lad in terms of his AFL aspirations...

Just heard news on Ten and Channel 9 through Kris Massie that Woodville West Torrens' 18 year old Jared Petrenko has been elevated from the Crows rookie list and onto their main playing list. I assume this will have been due to Brett Burton being put onto the long term injury list and of course because of the promise that "pup" as he is known, has progressively shown with the Eags since coming back from his shoulder operation.

Well done to Jared, well deserved and good luck in the future at AFL level...

Great news. He has been the shining light for the Eagles since his return and hope to see him get an AFL game soon!

I rate this guy very, very highly. I guess he fell to the rookie draft because of his height and concerns over his shoulder but the Crows have finally got themselves a steal. Petrenko is an exceptionally good footballer who will have a successful AFL career.

He will be a gun
