I am old enough to remember,
when these two teams met,
It didn't matter where on the premiership table they were,
It would be a
Battle for prideCan it hapen in 2008?
No Dougy....

Who do the Bloods blame now.

I hope West serves up the same defensive game that they treated us too yesterday. I'm interested to see how well it fares against a typically high scoring team like Sturt. Will it decrease the margin (Sturt will win, the only question is how much) or will the Blues simply shrug the Bloods?

the main question in this game is whether brant chambers can kick more than the entire west team ? i reckon that he might

I can highly recommend to any SANFL supporter but particularly Sturt supporters next week to visit the Past players shed at half time.
For those that aren't sure where it is, it's located on the right just before you exit towards the clubrooms.
I've been there a couple of times and it's a great 20 mins every time.
Drink out of longnecks, chook raffles, FREE FEED, speak to premiership players when Westies were the Desert peas.....great stuff.
The place just oozes nostalgia and history.

You're right, smithy.
Just to let people know that next Saturday is the 25th anniversary of the '83 premiership reunion..
Most of the '83 players and officials will be there. I'll be occupied then, but will be attending the dinner in the evening.

Everyone should try to sneak into the past players areas at half time. Never had a dull time in one of those.

CHAMBERS 6-5
defeated
SOUTH 5-10
great effort by chambo with no interchange to beat the panthers last week
This weeks betting
CHAMBO $2-00
VRS
WEST $1-85
west are fav to beat Chambo this week as WA started flooding in defence last week...

ill take evens CHAMBO
west arent going to kick any goals when they have WILLO in the goalsquare and the best kick in the team and one of the best kicks in the league lining up in defence kicking own goals

I think we would just about be better off having the current ones in the reunion and the players of 83 playing. Well they couldn't do any worse

He kept Chambo very quiet when he played on him last time, he had different defenders on him when he kicked all of his goals.
The only problem with that is it means we have our best defender stuck in the goal square.
We simply do not have enough defenders to cover the better sturt forwards.
Last time Fergusson kept both Chambo and Perrie quiet when he was on them, but they both kicked a bag in between time. Cupido was thrashed by whoever he stood that day, had a shocker.
