1- Glenelg
2- Sturt
3- Central
4- Norwood
5- Port

Not as silly as it may have sounded 12 months ago but could you imagine the crowd's we'd get for that sort of line up in the finals?
Let's all hope it comes true.

I hope they do.

Personally I'd be very excited and would love the first week of the finals at Adelaide Oval with nigh on 20k there watching.

that'd be a return of 'the big 4' & agree the crowds would be well up & i'd think a norwood v port match on its own would attract 15,000 plus so as a double header it'd be 20,000 - 25,000 imho

There are still many key games regarding the make up of the last two spots.

The last time there was 15,000 for the first week of the finals is 15,539 in 2000.
The last time there was 20,000 for any week of the finals except the Grand Final is 20,321 in 2000.
The record attendance for a double header finals weekend is 31,604 for the Semi Finals of 1996.

Hmmm and with this weekends AFL results quite possible no Port or Crows in Finals action....could be the biggest and best finals series the SANFL has had for a number of years....

Good call, if Port beat North at Prospect in a few weeks my dream scenario will probably play out too!

Doesn't really phase me mate, no use in getting there if you don't do anything once you get there, Ive always been of the belief that there's no difference between 2nd and 2nd to last.
My post was that of a SANFL fan, my point was it'd be a dream situation for the SANFL as a whole if that eventuated.
As a North fan obviously my dream scenario would be North winning a flag, won't happen though, its not like my hopes are up.
We haven't even beaten a top 5 side let alone a top side.

There's no room unless they remove some of the other "motivational" posts previously used!

Just had a thought.... the above final five is exactly how teams lined up in the 1973 finals - substituting Central (current power team) for North (early 70s power team).

I only hope that the finals pan out in the exact same manner as 1973 8)
