Doggies by about nine goals.
Great crowd tonight... probably in excess of 7000.

Almost spat out my cornflakes when I saw that there was over 7000 there.
I think that can pronounce Saturday night footy at Elizabeth as a profound success!
Great work to the CDFC and all the crowd for rocking up, I hate to think what getting a park would have been like!
IMHO the crowds at every othr game in Rd 1 were disappointing but the Dogs crowd certainly gives the overall aggregate a lift!

Was an excellent night, thoroughly enjoyed the spectacle, if not the result. Hats off CDFC, and for the brave Sturt souls who ventured out there!
Went to the Norwood / Bays game and was very disappointed by the crowd in comparison. There was a bit of drizzle, but it was the opening game with no AFL competition in town. Still I reakon there would have been about a thousand more than the 3100 mentioned in the paper.

As you where there you would know, heh.

I saw a total of about 6 cops and 10 security for the night. From where I was on centre wing, grandstand side, I saw no problems all night apart from running out of Jim Beam fairly early as I think the club were working on about 5,000 crowd. 7,300 at Elizabeth, 27,000 @ AAMI for Gav's 300th and the big 10 years in the AFL celebrations. LONG LIVE SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AT ELIZABETH.

Oh, and by the way, my late model Commodore was still where I left it with all its wheels and hubcaps.
