Will be a huge test for Port. We will now see if we are good enough to play finals in this game.

after watching central yesterday i think port will win even though it is at the ponderosa

If Port hasn't learnt anything from there last clash it'll be a boil-over yet port have displayed a little more team orientated football of late & although i can't see them winning, they can atleast make Centrals earn the points.
Centrals arn't playing the footy we know they are capable of which will make this game a more interesting concept.

Port seem to trouble the Doggies a bit- maybe the time is right for them to claim one?

Didn't seem to trouble us too much the last time we played them on their deck punky, we won by over 10 goals

Both sides will have a few different faces in their respective line ups from the last time they played and I wouldn't except this kind of blow out again. I think it will be a rip snorter of a game and although Centrals are still a long way off being back in form, I reckon the game will be very similar to the Round 1 clash at Elizabeth that ended up a real dog fight...

The home side got up by 20 points in that game and I would think it will be a very similar game in style and final result...

Doggies by 18 points for me...

That was the intellectual school in my day. I went to Salisbury North Technical High, I think it is just called Paralowie High now or something like that.

Back to the topic at hand...

I think Centrals will have a few changes to their side, both forced and unforced...

Obviously co-captain Paul Thomas comes back into the side, probably at the expense of young Crows rookie, James Moss. Speaking of the Crows, I wouldn't be suprised if Neil Craig takes Jonathon Griffin back into the AFL. It's a shame if it happens because I though Griffo was good at getting first hands on the ball for us on the weekend, something we had been missing for most of this year. If Griffin gets the call up, I would think Sydney Swans recruit Earl Shaw would come into the league side. He has been in excellent form in the ressies and should come in over Jonathon Giles.

After a pretty bad game for the Crows, Brad Symes could get dropped, but probably wont, but would be very handy if he did as he would then also qualify for finals. I think that if Scott Dutschke is back from injury, he might have a run in the 2's just to find a bit of form. Louis Hadden did more than enough to keep his spot in the side and I wouldn't be suprised if we see him as this weeks Coca-Cola Rising Star nomination. James Gowans hurt a shoulder but came back onto the ground so I wouldn't expect him to miss. I think there could also be a few AFL influenced changes to the Magpies side as well and will be interesting to see how that pans out.

Still gonna stick with my original tip of Doggies by 18 points.

Centrals have been off the boil the last couple of weeks, maybe the loss of Thomas has proven how reliable they are on this bloke, no Thomas no Centrals.
With Thomas back this week surely Ginever must see the importance of this bloke & shut him down early & keep him down, if everyone else play there part theres no reason why Port can't win this game.

Certainly don't think it's a case of no Thomas, no Centrals.... At least not just yet No-Mercy...

Yes, we certainly are a better team with him in the side but we proved on the weekend there are a few youngsters who can step into the void and hold there own, Louis Hadden in particular on the weekend was sensational. Thommo has a real determination and dogged nature about him that he never gives up and is always giving 110%. I think in the last month of football, we have too many on the wrong side of the coin, giving less than 50% of their capabilities, hence the poor results.

I think Paul is the kind of skipper who leads by example with his chases, tackles, sheppards, smothers etc and leaves all the razzing up and pre game speaches to his co captain, the more xperienced Matthew Slade. In saying that, I have no doubt that Thommo will go on to be the clubs longest serving captain, will probably play close to 300 games and will forever be a legend of Centrals, and a good mate of mine. He will be very hady back in the side this week and may even get a run with role on the in form Jeremy Clayton.

Really can't wait for next weekend to come now, think it will be a real dour struggle between a couple of fired up old enemies, and I'm looking forward to doing the boundary riding with LifeFM and their live call of the game... BRING ON SATURDAY...

Sorry Big Phil i didn't mean it that way, Thomas is a great player & he's a captain that leads by example both on & off the field, i should of said his leadership is missed on the ground when he's not there & those types of players are hard to replace which leads me to the point that i think Port needs to shut him down early to nulify his influence as he's the type of player that brings alot of players into the game.
You must admit when he's not playing Centrals havn't looked the same side to what we all know there capable of.
