traditionally it was said to be port then norwood but who has it now central, sturt, north or glenelg ? (i know it does depend on where your team sits to a degree)

alsways see a lot of redden white at rooster games

Based on the recent crowds drawn to big games, you would have to say Glenelg and Sturt...

It's going to eb and flow to reflect the on field results and success of the individual clubs, like you say...

strangely the first line of your post mightnt be as silly as it sounds, i quite frankly cant believe our support at the moment, what with nearly 8000 v port and 12000 v sturt, i coulnt hear a port fan and we outnumbered sturt fans 3 to 1 imo last week, and going back to the coopers game on may 23 i reckon we outnumbered the legs fans as well. the wagon is struggling under the masses

I reckon Port would quite easily have the most supporters still, probably followed by Sturt .. Will never get a definitive answer to the question as you're only ever going to get a decent indication when a team is up and flying.

In recent times at Prospect the Bays would have been lucky to have 20%(very optimistic), but some how this Sunday it could be vastly different

I know one thing for sure, it isn't Westies or South.

Last year they would have been lucky to have 5%, this Sunday the bandwagon will be full again, should outnumber North 2 to 1

Which would have nothing to do with the fact that North aren't traveling too well of course.....

North have never had close to the most supporters, their numbers just don't go up and down as some other clubs depenent upon winning or losing.
Port and Norwood and daylight.
Then Sturt.
After that its hard to tell.
West, South and Eagles don't rate.

Bandwagonners maybe, but the only side that will sell out a GF is Port. Norwood may get close, but all the rest can play at Adelaide Oval and there'll still be plenty of room at the bar.

The clubs with most support consistently - Port > Norwood > Central
The clubs with the biggest bandwagons and fairweather supporters (i.e. when they're good they get heaps, when they're crap they attract bugger all) - Sturt > Glenelg > North
The clubs with quality over quantity - Eagles > South > West

According to TV ratings it has to be the WWT - EAGLES

Quality over quantity = LAUGH.

Couldn't disagree more with the bandwagon and fairweather comment. North, Glenelg AND Sturt have had some BAD eras in the last 10-15 years and I think you'll find that each of these clubs had some brilliant support from fans who stuck by them. The Snouts Louts formed during one of our darkest periods for the Bays...North crowds have always been solid, as have Sturt's.

There is a lot of truth in the fact that many fans have come back out now the Bays are having some success...you'd argue the same for Sturt, but so what? I think it's absolutely brilliant seeing more and more people turning up to the SANFL, while less people are rocking up to Power and Crows games. The SANFL would be clapping their hands...

Let's see how the Eagles fare with their crowds when they have a lean period.

Probably Norwood, when they're not at the Crows games

Sturt has TRUE Blue supporters who stay loyal to the Double Blue jumper always.

The 30 odd fans that stuck by these clubs during the dark times deserve all the success they get. You've backed my point in the second paragraph. But, I agree, the more the merrier and it's good to see anyone and everyone coming through the gates at suburban ovals.

Spot on Tigger! Fact of life that us diehards have to deal with, is that we are in a very small minority ... Seeing fans who stayed away in the dark times returning is STILL a positive, although you wouldn't know it with the amount it get's frowned upon by many.
