Have the Bays got some big outs? On the last couple of months form North will not get within 100 points.
I hope they can prove me wrong, bit I can't see it.

Bays are due for a loss soon...could be this week. North on their day are as good as anyone going around.

I reakon the groggies will flog themselves...or eachother.

Flog me, north could loose by 150 pts !, sturt beat us by 106 !

North must be due to play a four qtr game soon this year though

The way the Bays are playing at the moment,

it would take a brave man to honestly put his hard earned money on a Rooster Win...

I felt for ANJ a little when he was on radio this week as critiscm of him seems to be comming in from several directions at present. He did such a good job to bring North to the Grand Final last season and clearly had the support of the players then, so I still feel he can do something with North through the second half of this season.

The Bays on the other hand are going from Strength to Strength and its hard to see them losing this week, if anything they seemed a little restrained against Sturt and could well be ready to change up a gear as early as this week....

Not necessarily the case. North was very very lucky to make it to the GF last year. More good luck than good management that's for sure. North was not the second best side in 2007.

Actually not resting easy for this game...little bit worried the emotion of two big wins against the reigning premiers and a pumped up
Sturt outfit, could take it's toll. North will be pi55ed it lost against Port.

if north weren't the 2nd best team last year who was wwt, glenelg, or sturt ?

All 3 sides you named were better. North just got them at the right time. 50 points down to Sturt at half time in round 23 it looked like we'd be playing your mob in the elimination final the week after. Feast getting hurt let us back in and somehow we snuck into the top 3. Played above ourselves and made a GF where we got smashed as we should have. Similarly Central was not the second best side in 2006 but they were good enough to bully their way to a GF spot nonetheless. Difference between them and us is they recognised where they were at and fixed it. North haven't.

Sorry mate. Can't agree. 50 points down to Sturt and North showed that they had the skill, determination and desire to win, and that's what they did. If Sturt were better, they would have out played North, but they couldn't. Do you think Sturt let North win. We "played above ourselves" because we could and the other teams were not good enough to stop us.

btw, totally agree with your last comment. We don't seem to have learned from last year and made he improvements we needed, to make us GF favourites this year. And whilst we are giving praise to the Doggies, do you think they are a better side this year than last? Personally, I think both North and Centrals have gone backwards from where they were last year.

Better at some point in the season, certainly, but not for the whole season. Glenelg was spoon material for the first 8 rounds or so, and Sturt tried hard to lose all its games in the run up to the finals. When either side was on fire they might have been better than North, but North was consistently good for the whole season. Ergo North was better than Sturt and Glenelg.

Knocking off WWT twice in the finals suggests that the best team made it to the GF.
