We needed to win and we did. Pretty basic I know! We have to beat South next week as well. Results didn't exactly fall our way though with the Eagles pounding the Dogs and Port reversing the recent trend of matches against North at Alberton.

The results fell perfectly for the legs
ST/CD/NA all beaten
NW wins
Makes Norwood only 3 points off the double chance

Good to see Vlatko back amongst the goals.

Worst half of football I have EVER seen. Second half better, but still, what a horrid game.

You weren't at Alberton today, the first 1/2 there was bloody awful.

Yeah I turned on the radio and heard the score was 20 to 16. But trust me, the half at the Parade was just as bad. Skill level and decision making was absolutely laughable.

The sad part about it is there's a good chance one of our sides will make the finals! :?

You said that the Port/West match last week was the worst you have seen, if this was worse, and the Port/North 1st half was worse, man, I'd have hate to have sat through that!

Although, seeing the half time score on the board as 2.8 to 2.6 gave me an indication of what that game was like.

Were you at the Norwood v North Adelaide at the Parade on 26th March 1999? Easily the worst game of football ever played. Today's game was a classic in comparison with that one.

I liked Ezard's game today for West. He is young and raw but has a red hot go and isn't afraid to back himself. He got caight a few times but at his level of development that's not unexpected. Is he related to Alan Ezard? Also thought that ruckman Clark shows some promise - gangly and raw also but clearly keen to learn. Ferguson was also pretty resolute for Westies today - did a dour job wherever he was on the ground.

Cockshell had a good run for Norwood - I can see him back at the Power soon given their desire to expose fringe players to AFL for the rest of the season. He rucked well but it was his work around the game which was his best asset today.

No one player dominated for 4 quarters for either side today IMHO but rather, players were in and out of the game in patches or were moreso steady contributors on the day.

Yes he did play...kicked 0.3 I believe. From a couple of mails I've had it seems he was a bit unwell (the throwing up kind) so that probably accounts for the quiet game.
