The Advertiser had the footy liftout in today's paper, I think its because the AFL kicks off tonight that they brought everything forward a day.

not sure how accurate these selections are

i see Bode is named for the bays,

but my opinion is that Massie, Jericho, Maric, Van Berlo, Proplyzia, Vince and Knights all can't squeeze in to the team, understand south has a bye but none of the others are named for there sanfl sides

I think Vince is a chance to get a game for the Crows this week, hopefully both him and Knights play Monday night.

Any news on how long the Fiacchi brothers, Frewen, Floreani and Lomas will be out and what is wrong with them?

I agree I think both Vince and Knights have earned their opportunity

I would be interested in people's view on Vince, reason I ask, I remember reading a lot of negative comments on the footysa website when he was drafted........

early days but the signs a good, every now again, someone comes along who can step right in a pick up the pace and standard with out too much fuss

Johncock was able to do this, Vince may be the same

You can add Lonie to North's team this week and that player of "real interest" for blues fans - Thurstans back to Sturt. Both named as emergencies for the Power so both should line up in the SANFL.

Lets hope they have a nice early night and not too much partying because the SANFL standard is better than some people think!

Add to the westies team

Van Berlo, Knights, Bode all named in Crows starting 18

Vince Massie, Doughty, Maric named on interchange with Hart, Shirley and Mattner

My tip is Crows wont play three ruckman, so Maric will go to Port, with Hart on the Bench, Massie to head back to Norwood, Doughty may not be match fit, for me Vince will make his debut

Also, Jericho not listed in 25 man squard

Notice Symes listed as emergency for Power, handy pick up for the dogs

For all the doom and gloom floating around in the forums and the media, the Sturt side looks reasonable on paper. The inclusion of Thurstans is a massive one as it will allow us to free up Michael Coad in the forward line if needed and we will certainly match up on Cowan and Schell a little better.

I read with interest in this mornings 'Tiser that John Thornton believes the fact we have drifted out to $13 is because our "good players have got older, like Weatherald, Feast and Nelson....." Sure, Feasty falls into the veteran category but Tim and Ben ought to be a little perplexed, both are on the good side of 30!!. This particular article should be blown up and stuck on the changeroom wall tomorrow evening.

Go the mighty Double Blues.

And the doggies tend to be a little vulnerable early in the season so I would rate Sturt a chance this week - better than $13 anyway.
