Apparently he gave the umpires a spray after the game.
Some may think it deserved for him to have done that. I'm not so sure.

Kurt Cobain couldn't handle fame but at least he didn't kick an own goal against Colombia.

Seems to be a massive overreaction to the Bays knocking off Centrals. First, Laird keeps the players in the rooms for a considerable amount of time after the game...the Dogs lost to a side that had won eight games straight before that match, not the wooden spooners. Second, Kris Grant takes it upon himself to abuse the umpires.

Get the feeling the Saturday Night match later in the season could be even bigger than the Bays vs. Sturt this week...

IMHO A strongly written to the league would have been the way to go.
But he would have felt way better telling them off and more than likely worth the fine to feel better.

Hats off Laird for doing that straight after the game .Puts it right back into the players lap .I bet the game latter in the year will be much closer than Glenelg fans think .And we all know that no one knocks of Centrals twice in a year other wise the fans have to train. And the doggies fans hate training  :wink:To quote a famous doggie fan

I'm not sure which Bays fans you're referring to, but from every comment I've read from Bays fans, we have nothing but utmost respect for the Dogs. There would have been many, if they're honest, that would have expected Centrals to win on Saturday. No doubt the next game could be close. The Dogs will perhaps even get up, and get up well. Who knows.

Given we've now had Andrew Jarman earlier in the year and now Kris Grant booked for criticising umpires, perhaps the umpiring department should have a look in their own backyard and see what the umpires are doing to cause such reactions from coaches and officials.

While I maintain that the umpiring in Saturday's game wasn't the worst I'd seen, to have a club's CEO go off at the umpires during a game is a clear indication that the performance of the umpires was below standard. Furthermore, I always believe that reports/50 metre penalties for abusing an umpire is actually an admission of guilt and shows that the umpires in fact have something to hide.
