I read through the Advertiser's SANFL lift out today, most of it seemed to be fairly reasonable coverage, but couldnt believe that Matthew Illman got rated as West's number one player. The guy obviously is a talented sportsman coming from a NBL background, but would he really be rated as West's number one player? In front of guys like Hollands and Haynes..

Also in the Sturt section, Andrew Whiteman named as "without question the hardest player in the SANFL". Maybe he is but surely its not that clearcut with other players like Mark Clayton in the league.

Illman certainly isn't the Bloods No 1 player, but the article might not be as far off as you think.

He's only been playing for 2 and a half years and is on track to be a dominant player at CHF.

Must admit I've always been very impressed with what I've seen from Illman ... Obviously I don't follow Westies closely enough to suggest who would be their best, but he's a very good player imho!

As for the Hardnuts, well I guess every club's got them and we can all point towad one ot two within our own ranks ... Bryce Campbell certainly fit's the bill at the Parade!

Steiny and the Gowans are 1,2 and 3.
