The Roost (rocketrooster.com)

Postby Wedgie » Mon Jun 16, 2008 10:55 am

Just a notice to North fans that if they find The Roost not working now or in the next day or so it isnt because its imploded like the club or Ive pulled the plug in disgust. Its because its getting moved between servers by my webspace company as part some regular maintenance.
Thanks for your patience. :D

Boom - the sound of everything at North imploding!

Seriously it's probably a melt down  with a large number of club officials and players trying to found out exactly what is going on because apparently half the Board had no clue of the events of last week!

Now what's the the first line of our club song?

In today's Advertiser they reported that the club is going to be sacking Shubert, Coulter and Walker because they supposedly drinking alcohol on the Friday night before a game ? That's a but different from what has been said on here about this "list" that was discovered ???

What the heck is going on down at Prospect ???

Let's hope the players can keep it together for the big clash with South on Saturday at Prospect...

is it true that all comments on the Snowts site are scrutineered first, before being publicised?
if that's the case, isn't Rushby's avatar very hypocritical?

To be fair, bays fans should probably just sit back and watch on this one, even if it means staying "quiet" when others are sinking the boot. Besides we have more pressing manners on field at the moment.

Nice attempted deflection there. Anyway back to Roostergate...

Why not? Weve been using that joke since 1905 after keeping Port to 1 goal in a GF. ;)

Topsy posting reminded me that the Norwood forum will encounter the same issues as the Roost as its on the same webspace so apologies to the Norwood fans too if there's any inconvenience.

You know after every Norwood loss there's call for either Hill's head or the mass sacking of the Board. This strategically timed outage will probably save their sorry arses once again.

Geez big phil surely you can workout that the club is trying to limit the damage and not give journos or others the full details. Drinking did play some part in what occured Friday night so that is as good a deflective an excuse you will get. Considering 1 player Coulter had walked out during the week and was not named in either Seniors or Ressies and the other 2 were out injured you would hardly think drinking on a Friday night was big news!

What Capt Cordial and "others" have posted re the "list" is right on the money and was the catalyst for what occured with the 3 players.

I can understand why the club wouldn't want the "real" story to come out Drebin so i guess the point I tried to make, without really making it, was that Warren Partland's article today was pretty pointless apart from highlighting the fact that 3 players were going to be sacked. And like mentioned a few times, that is not completely accurate either with Josh Coulter leaving earlier in the week. I guess it would just be easier on all involved, including members, supporters and the current playing list, if the club just came out and made a statement as to EXACTLY what went on the REAL reason behind thier decisions made.

I mean if they tried to gloss it over with a story of the players drinking the night before, it's not really all that plausable, because as mentioned as well, none of the players were not even going to play in either the league or reserves side. Just get it all out in the open, deal with it as best as they can and let the players focus their energies on the game ahead this week against South Adelaide. I really think that North may just get done by the Panthers this week, especially if all the off field rumblings don't have the door well and truly shut on them before the weekend.

I don't blame some of the Roosters fans for the comments posted on here about their club, it would be really dissapointed to have this kind of thing happen half way through a season that they have struggled to recapture the form of last year. Will be really interesting to see how the rest of the season unfolds for North, I'm of the opinion that they are still a forced to be reckoned with, even with all the crap going on behind the scenes, they still have a few quality players in their line up and on their day, are good enough to beat most sides in the comp.
