Just 4 goals to the Legs in the second half.
Seems everytime we play one of the top 3, we're just steamrolled after half time.
Will be interesting to read a report from someone at the game, to see how the game changed in a match of contrasting halves.

Reckon Chambers got all his 7 after half time whilst Walker got 5 out of his 6 in the first half, Chambers have to be on the money again for a ton, be interested to read some posts from Norwood supporters on here, only a couple of weeks ago it was all lets sack Trev Hill, they seem to me to be a pretty good unit at the minute, probably no where top 3 status but apart from the current top 3 no-one is even close

I was definitely one calling for Hill's head, albeit a long way from the action.
The real concern a number of Norwood supporters have with his coaching/results has been getting the team's "average" performance up to an acceptable level. Norwood's best in recent years has been fairly good, but our worst has been deplorable. Every side has a bad match or run, but when you have the side turning in record losses and low scores, plus a number of goalless quarters this season as well, then questions do get asked.
Hill hasn't had an easy job, that's for sure.
I made a comment in another thread about his inability to consistently get the best out of the available players as probably his main downfall. Someone who had apparently played under him in amateurs agreed with that.
So Hill's challenge is to keep Norwood consistently competitive for the rest of the season and make the finals.
Maybe the debacle against Glenelg recently will be the trigger for a good finish to the year.

Going by this performance and the win over Woodville-Torrens,
can anyone come up with a plausible explanation for the Redlegs
debacle against Glenelg three weeks ago?

i'd suggest that game against us has 'sparked' a reaction which incidently happened to glenelg when we kicked the 1 goal against norwood i think we won 4 of our last 6 that year (help spelly), but why does it take an embarrassing game to spark a team ?

Thanks bayman...looks like we all had some confussion over goal scorers today...for my part I blame Dog_ger and his apparent obsession with the space-time contimuum
I shall wait for the official result and amend accordingly...pobably easiest

I'm sure the lads have learnt from their mistakes and I think most of us have managed to move on. Sorry it seems to still be affecting you so much...maybe counselling would help

Went to the game as a neutral observer with my norwood mate. Thought it was good game of footy played in two very different halves. Norwood threw everything at sturt and gave their all including the kitchen sink in the first half while i thought sturt were a bit sloppy with their disposal. The second half was the complete opposite and it was only time before sturt clicked into gear and show why they are top 3 contender. Full credit to norwood for not lying down in the last qtr when sturt could of easily won by 6-7 goals.

I thought the redlegs played really well today and they could actually make the five if they keep that sort of perfomance up.
They were very good with there pressure today but our boys dug deep as good sides should and won.
Coady was excellent again along with crane and farmer also Big Fabs stuck his hand up today which was good to see.

Frustrated at losing a game I thought we could and should have won. Norwood came out on fire and shot out to a 5 goals to 1 lead thanks to great work from the midfield who tackled well and applied great defensive pressure. We got lots of run out of defence, especially Puopulo who was absolutely outstanding early before drifting out of the game. Gallagher and Thomas very good in the midfield for the Legs whilst Walker was dangerous up forward kicking 5. Walker the dominant forward in the first half and Chambers in the second who completely destroyed Zorzi and took a number of marks deep in attack.
We were great in the first half but Sturt dominated play in the 3rd and we were lucky not to be down by 4 or 5 goals such was the dominance of Sturt. Sturt supporters sure do like to complain about the umpiring at every oppertunity and it's been a while since I've heard a call to rush a behind when you're 40 metres from the goal. Don't want to make excuses but I will, Kite was a late withdrawal and it proved costly as we lacked some speed and height in defence. Losing Campbell to injury and Lower to the Power didn't help either. And lastly, Aish needs to go harder and McDonnell needs to go back to the reserves.

Interesting he takes the doll to the footy. Usually he keeps it under his bed and sleeps with it at night.

I walked right past him walking off at 3/4. Strange to say the least.
