They play at the Telstra DOOM? The same place they wont let teams train on cause it will hurt the surface? then play 3 games in one day?

Spelly you wont want them back the Sat after playing on the DOOOOOOM....

One week is long enough, then they only get a few more matches before they disappear to an AFL club interstate.

The next two games for SA will be tough, we should get a win against NSW/ACT.

This tournament is going longer than the cricket world cup...

It was once good to watch the gun players on their way to AFL fame, playing against men in the SANFL. It was a real attraction of the SANFL IMO. Now they miss a massive chunk of the season with the new format, as well as the countless trial games they need to play.

The Under 18 championships are a good idea, but IMO the last season or two have been a little over the top. Should be over and done with in 2 weekends (as well as a mid-week game).

Agree with you that it is going on forever and forever. At most get it done in 5 weeks if you are going to use this format.

Preferably remove the 2 div 2 teams and replace them with one Allies team then it could be done and dusted in 4 weeks.

If the AFL are going to continue with 20 minute quarters well then they could play saturday, thursday, tuesday, saturday and get it done in 3 weeks.

All the lead up games are a waste of time if all they are going to do is use those game to sort out selection rather than developing the game plan.
