As the league game is on Sunday, all Eagles fans come down to Woodville Oval to see the 17s and 19s play on the Saturday against South. Both 17s and 19s are the top 5 at the moment.

very crucial game in the battle for fifth spot, didn't think South were to bad on the weekend so think they may just cause a mini upset and win by about three goals.

Its literally make or break for the Panthers this week and most likely for Woodville-West Torrens as well!

If I had to put money on it at the TAB I would have to say South, yet it is a hard call based on our recent form and reliance on Benny Warren to box above his weight in the forward lines.

South lost two players to WWT at the end of last season, I cant recall thier names off hand, yet assuming they play for the Eagles next week no doubt there will be some bad blood from their former team mates which may well be enough to motivate South to get up for the win.

The two players were Twomey and Wright.
Wright has come home to Woodville as he was here before he went to the afl
And Twomey has left the club already
So to me the above post is not going to happen .

Fair enough, what happened with Twomey?

Well ones gone in Twomey
And Wright played his first seconds game back from injury against NW.He is yet to play a league game.
What does WWT do play the same old players or bring up some more players.
1 MALINOVSKI gets the ball but turns it over
2 Couch gets the ball kicks it a long way but has skill errors.
3 Lee Can get ruck taps and marks around the ground but has skills errors.
Really I am not sure what the club can do any thoughts guys?

Hope we get Kenny back? The two State U/18 players? I don't know apart from that.

I say give Lee a go, too. He hasn't sooked off even though he has played all but one match in the Reserves. From what I've seen of him, he is quite mobile for a big man, and gets a lot of the ball around the ground. Awkward kicking action though, but that's to be expected from a ruckman.

I think from what is said on radio Kenny will be lucky to play for the crows again .
And it should be 3 under 18's 4 if you include Lane .Have they finished yet ?

Saturday showed that the Eagles lacked something in the ruck division along with the midfielders.

Yes, well you got it in one, the coaching staff should read this - Lee has to come in! Give him a go.

One of our best chances for a win I reckon.
I'll be in Melbourne unfortunately, so will have to organise scores to be texted through.

GO PANTHERS...
Hopefully a South win by a couple of goals.

So Twomey has left the club already? I'm not sure what issues he had at South but leaving probably wasnt the best career move, given he was going to a club with a large number of superior tall forward options. Still, injuries didnt help.

I rate Wright highly, hopefully from the eagles point of view he get's his body right. Didnt look fit at any stage last season either.

Tough one to call this one. The eagles tall forwards always trouble us

A couple years ago South beat us by 66 pts down there.
