I may be wrong here, but from readings of the Sunday Mail, these teams have played each other two weeks in a row.

Can't find the results, but LAST week Port beat the Bays by well over 100 points

Yesterday the Bays beat Port quite easily!

SPELLY, I bet THATS never happened before!

Last season (maybe the one before) there was a round of 17's games the same for 2 weeks running, for the same reasons it has happened this year. Not sure if there were any big turnarounds in those games though.

Last year the 17s finished the week before the SANFL League GF. This year the 17s finish 2 weeks before the SANFL League GF, due to the National U16 Championship final being held on AFL GF (the weekend the U17s GF would have been on) the U17s GF has been moved to the week before the AFL GF, just incase that SA make the final.

Last weeks u17s results were put up by me on this site under the title of 'u17s Rd 11 changes/results'
And the Eagles played Norwood twice in two weeks, but the two clubs played the 2 games at Norwood, while the 2 Port v Glenelg games were at Glenelg one week and the other at Alberton.

question should surely have to be asked, why such opposite results in a week, you could expect it i guess if it happened in round 1 and then round 11, but a week, mmmm something aint right there

perhaps it is a mis-print & the same team has won twice in a row (only guessing)

My guess it comes down to timing. Pretty sure no private schools footy this weekend, so that would have boosted availability. And maybe a few more kids came up from the South East with it being a long weekend?

Either way, a 200 point turn around in one week is incredible...

There wouldn't have been another occasion like that where it was the same two teams in two weeks with such a turnaround.

As I posted earlier, the Eagles U17s played Norwood u17s at Norwood 2 weeks in a row, on the 30th May, Eagles won, and yesterday Norwood won.

So they crammed in extra games to finish the season early - just like last year.

college kids is the major reason, different mix of country kids but yes it is an amazing turn around

I think it happened earlier in the season when port beat the eagles on the saturday and then the eagles thrashed port on the wednesday.

The last couple years, it has only been 1 game early, this year it's 2 games early.
