The Goal Umpire camera has been in use by the ABC since about 2002 I think. This video may surprise the web browsers that know what 'AFL' is, plays 'AFL', breathes 'AFL' and think to themselves, hmm, this San-ful has got something the AFL does not have - a camera that sits inside the cap of the Goal Umpire! This is even more cleverer than the goal post camera!

As well, the goal umpires don't have to wear 200kgs of crap around their stomach unlike the AFL's version. And better still, you get a better image of the ball going through the goals rather than the camera just staring down the ground.
