Look forward to the next chapter folks, one of two results are likely, either the club will remain completley non competitive and in ten years time still be celebrating the team that lost the 1979 grand final, or alternatively the club will exist as memorabillia stuffed into another SANFL clubs history collection having been taken over.

Have South imploded? All over the place IMO.....

well if the board is to blame for this and it sounds as though that may be the case, perhaps the members may have the last say.....

Smarty.......maybe ok but as many would tell you perhaps the current issues are related to past players on the board....

Let's all take a deep breath, no one on this site knows what has happened for Jack to quit. Football is wonderful for spreading rumours and again many rumours are abound, particularly on this great footy site. There is a meeting at Noarlunga this arvo, media statements will be released both sides will air their stories and the facts will come out. So wait until ALL the facts are heard before condemnation or otherwise.

The words 'facts' and 'media statements' should seldom be associated

Good luck to you south folk. You must be gutted.

Nice to see you are retaining a sense of humour - cr@p times when the club doesn't live up to the hype of pre-season to such an extent.

What a great post - finally some sense 100 posts after this started =D> Wait for the full FACTS .... what an amazing concept

You should stick it in the other thread

I am amazed at the conclusions and judgements being made when all we really know (from this site) is that there's been some dispute and Jack seems to have quit.

As an outsider, it seemed an unlikely alliance in the first place TBH and I thought Jack was well and truly retired it could end up being a positive for everyone. If it's not working it's not working, you just need to get on with it.

A football coach 'quits' 8 games into a two year contract and you are naive enough to think 'all the facts will come out'.Please.An exercise in wiping egg from their face is all that will be caught on camera at Noarlunga this afternoon. As with all good footy club stories the truth will never surface and rumours will reign supreme.

Good luck on finding out the 'truth' though.

I wonder if the club supported Jack when he said this to the messenger press two days ago?

SOUTH Adelaide coach John Cahill has told his players to expect a torturous two weeks on the training track, following the Panthers' dismal loss to West Adelaide last weekend.

Players expecting a break this weekend while the state game is played will be in for a rude shock with Cahill promising to let his players know what he thought of the insipid showing against the Bloods.

``We won't have a break,'' Cahill said.

``We'll train Saturday now.

``Otherwise this is just a nice comfort lifestyle for some. If football is that important, we have to show more dedication.''
