It reminded me a fair bit of Norwood's win over the Eagles last year at Thebarton. In that the opposition were poor but we were very good and growing in confidence. We are contenders for a top 5 spot but I think Glenelg, Surt, Central, North and the Eagles are all good enough to make it so we might miss out.

I'm just happy we've strung a couple of wins together and finally get a "real deal?" thread.

Norwood's performance in the next 3 games will provide the answer to that question.
Glenelg at the Parade.
Eagles away.
Sturt away.

I got the joke.. and it was almost funnier seeing people post in this thread and suggest that Norwood might actually be the real deal.
How many clubs have a thread like this? 6 or 7 at least now and we have only played 8 rounds!

You've got to remember Norwood had some big outs on Saturday, (admittedly North did too) but they were dominant against a team they've struggled against in recent times with a lot of outs, full kudos for Norwood. North played crap but that's only because Norwood didn't allow them to play well!
Anything's possible, top 3 are sewn up, Eagles will probably have 4th sewn up. If Port knew how to win close games they'd be sitting pretty but it really is out of Norwood, Port and North to battle for 5th spot.

Yes, North's fall from grace has given me some optimism, however Norwood's recent good play has me concerned.
Ecky/Spelly - when was the last time, if ever that Port have finished below Glenelg, Sturt and Norwood in the same season.

At a quick guess, i'd say 1985, but i'm sure the guru will provide an answer soon

1985 - and the only time this has happened.
