I was wondering when someone was going to mention Grave Danger. He might have been able to play but was usually too busy going the biffo.

Russell Ebert also used to give me the shits - come on umpie they weren't legal handballs

And for number three?? Maybe Rick Davies for his amazing ability to con the umpire into getting frees in front of goal. No one else gets them there

Pretty sure that was B Leys (Bryan)

Without doubt in the past David Granger. He is now where he should have been years ago. I also have no respect for the club who employed him and also encouraged him to act in a manner that was damaging to the public profile of the game.

As for todays players

1. definitely Damien Squire. absolute sheep dog, runs forward of the ball, sure has skills and speed but rarely wins a contested possesion.
2. Gowans Bros inc.
3.Culpitt.- will be interesting to see how he is recieved at the bay where he was a hero and now will be a villain.

Are you making this judgement on games against the panthers in which of late Sturt have won most of - or have you seen him play any other games.

I have seen him win the ball many times.

Sturts game plan is some one to win the ball and then every one run forward with handball until we can deliver it clearly to a forward. So in games against South that is probably all you see cause you guys dont get the ball.

And yes before any one has a crack Sturt's game plan does struggle against some teams. Especially against the Eagles - just cant beat em ever.

You must be having a laugh 'bluey'. Squire, as well as having the most exquisite skills in the competition, finds the footy with a knack and football smarts that precious few players have. He never gets caught with the ball and picks up many of his touches in heavy traffic rather than 'forward of the ball' as you foolishly suggest. He is a supremely talented player but never in his career has he carried the tag of being selfish or lairy. He does the little things well also and is one of the best when it comes to holding the player in a tackle and applying a block or smother.
Each of us is entitled to an opinion and whether right or wrong I offered mine earlier.

BUT, to suggest D. Squire is a forward running player who accrues cheap touches is plain wrong.

Were you not at Noarlunga last year when he had 40+ touches and kicked three goals in five third quarter minutes??????

Well I could take you task about your assessment of Bamford MST. Re Squire, he is not exactly an in an under type either - he is a creative runner as he plays on the ball and iss expected to be attacking and creative. Bamford is primarily a wingman but over the past year he has played more on the ball in bursts off the bench and has put his body (albeit a thin one!) on the line and has showed a tougher side to him and gets plenty of hard balls as well as beign attacking and creative. So be careful about your assessments of players before you stick it up others - remember everyone has a different view point of certain players.
