Congratulations Bays Fans!

Postby Sojourner » Sat May 17, 2008 8:32 pm

It has to be said that Glenelg are playing some pretty awesome footy at present! Everything the club does at the moment seems to prosper and Mark Mickan should be congratulated on the magnitude of what he has achieved with the club. Despite still being relativley early in the season I think that the Bays are a good chance of winning the flag this year, but time will soon tell I suppose!

Anyway Congratulations Bays Fans, you well deserve it! 8)

When I first read that Mickan was making the move to Glenelg I reckoned that this would be a good thing for the Tigers.
That Mickan Man, he know what to do!

Thanks sojourner

Not us mate, the players and coaches deserve it, they are the ones doing the hard work. Best of all they know they've done relatively nothing and can still improve.

Can vouch for the fact the club is still looking for things it can improve in to make it even better.

however teh last 12 months as a Bays fan have made for an enjoyable change compared to the previous six years...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Bays will be top next week unless that bloke who is apparently a hasbeen hack that never deserved a Magarey Medal, Premiership medalion and can't kick over 35m will have something to say about it. Seriously the Bays deserve top spot they're running hot.

It's a long season...I'm enjoying the way we're playing at the moment, and I only hope it can continue, but by no means will I be making bold statements about us being premiership favourites just yet.

Sturt and Centrals are still the sides to beat IMO. Sturt played at about 70% yesterday and comfortably got over Port, and Centrals have been hampered by injuries lately, so I expect them to still be the dominant side they have been for so long.

Having said that, it's nice to turn up to the footy these days and not only think you can win, but truly believe it.

Pleased we gave South a deserved thumping after our loss to them earlier in the season. I'm sure the players would have enjoyed that one immensely.

Norwood surprised many when they knocked off North yesterday. Traditionally the Bays have not had the best run of the Friday Night fixtures at Norwood Oval in recent times, so any suggestion the Bays will pump the Legs is perhaps a massive disrespect to the Redlegs. Bays are due to drop one, as they simply cannot continue this form for the entire season, so it could be this week against Norwood.

I hope it isn't...for now though, Bays fans should simply enjoy the plight of both the league and reserves sides.

By whom??

It is other opposition supporters taking our lid off (starting teh pro Glenelg threads) - we're enjoying the ride don't get me wrong but we know we've done nothing yet...
