North were dreadful yet again. Outplayed and outcoached, gutsy and methodical win by the Legs today, conrats to them, North are gone for 2008.

bit early to say that ya reckon? but you'd know more than me and being 3-4 with that list would be disappointing although there are plenty of players to come back in yet.

are the legs better than what we gave them credit for??? bloody even season i tell ya.

Good win for the Legs today. sounded like they wanted it more than North. At times we just sounded lke we were a shambles. Losts of players out of position, gill playnig in the back pocket, Sporn goaled from the forward pocket et all.

North had too many talls in the conditions and I think Jars was just out coached today. Norwood played keep ball when they were against the breeze, and just snuffed North out, and then bombed it long when they had the breeze. Their small forwards just got under our backs, and their onballers put a lot more pressure on the man than we did. Again we lost it in the rucks and stoppages and neve got going in the conditions. We dished up too many soft turnovers, and at time it didn't sound like we knew what to do with it when we had the ball. At least twice in the last qtr, Alleyway kicked it straight to a Legs when he should have just bombed it into the square.

Well played Norwood, as for North, it looks like an uphill battle from here.

Heard the umps had a shocker again today. just a question for those who go regularly to games, is the standard of umpiring getting worse or has it always been like this?

I normally try not to be too smug when we win but given our dreadful start to the season and not knowing how many more chances I'll have this year...

Yet another team with an upset loss we have to play the next week. That would mean that Norwood is 4th, South are now 5th, Eagles are 6th and North 7th.

Yeah I was there mate, wish I wasn't though.

Day didn't start well when I got out there realising I'd left my camera bag at home which not only has my camera in it but my season ticket and car parking pass. :(
Wa
sn't too bad in the end as I popped into the Northern Tavern hoping to have a meal (can you believe they don't have them on Saturdays?? Place is a dive, North need to improve it), thought I'd put $5 through the pokies and pulled out $88! :D

Not having the camera I got to actually enjoy the game, wish I'd had the camera!
Also had a chance to stand with a few Norwood mates in the first half, it was all good.

If it wasnt for the Pokies win would have preferred staying home watching the AFL. I almost go out of routine more than enjoyment these days.

So no photos today, purely by me not having the family with me (who stayed home) to remind me to take it. :(

Spot on Wedgie, didn't think Norwood were that flash but we were PATHETIC, exploited our 15 weaknesses and won the game, perhaps next week Jars can walk around Woodville Oval with his bucket to get his pension money    plus you wouldn't have too many highlights for the cam today anyway

Why is this an upset win? Where's our credit people. We were cleaner, faster and executed our passes more effectively. We were physically tougher and we went to win and did. Far from our best possible side as well and we stitched up last year's Grand Finallists. Who was missing for North today? What about the crowd figure anyone? Cold, wet and windy yes but poor turnout from both sets fo supporters IMHO! But I'll travel anywhere in any weather to support my boys!

Been trying to find out the figure...if it was mentioned on RPH then it must have been while my link to them was out. Don't know if LifeFM got figures for the games...don't think anyone online could listen due to them being on emergency generators or some such.

Agreed. Couple of big names missing for Norwood. North are really not very good. Will be very very lucky to play finals this year.

Full credit Fester but you were allowed to play that sort of footy, no pressure put on your players for a majority of the game but yes you still have to perform with no pressure and your side did that, don't get carried away with the win because you played a side that will probably end up 8th this year, and lets be honest your guys made a large number of basic mistakes under no pressure, but well done on the win
