West made it tough for a while, but Dogs comfortably.

Workman like performance by the Dogs, who's tried and tested structure, along with more polished skills kept them in control for most of the day.
Bloods supporters would have been happy with the endeavour and work rate but looked every bit the work in progress they are.
Cochrane the 4 quarter standout to me, consistently repelling attacks and rebounding from defence. Westhoff had a lot of it but didnt always use it as well as he could of- still a very solid contributor though. O'Sullivan, Dutske & Slade were dominant at ground level & J Gowans in the thick of it as usual. Hayes & Sibenaler in defence also put in very strong performences, whilst Williams started like the proverbial house on fire but dropped out a tad in the 2nd half.

Final Scores:
Doggies: 12.8 = 80
Westies: 7.5 = 47
A fairly uninspiring 33 point win for the Dogs, cementing them in 3rd spot on the ladder...
No real highlights from the day, in fact the best of the action I saw was an unfortunate incident with an old lady slipping on the steps in the grand stand. She just grazed her arm and will be fine, but special mention to Westies player Simon Munn who came to her aid by getting one of his sides trainers to help the poor lady out.
Won't go into great detail now, will leave that for my match review, but BOG in my mind was probably Richie Cochrane, followed closely by either Ryan Williams or Andrew Hayes. No major goal kickers with only 12 for the team, seeing 4 players kicking 2 a piece and 4 singulars...
Will hope for a much more intense and improved effort next week against the Maggies if we expect to beat them. Should be better for having Callinan and Ware hopefully back but not sure who will come out of today's side for them ? I thought Brayden O'Hara played okay in his League debut, despite a fumbly nervous start, but in the 3rd term he impressed where he won his fair share of the footy and used it well.
Apart from the 2 points, the only other positive to come out of todays win, from what I could tell, was that we didn't have any injuries or reports.
GO U DOGGIES...
Big Phil...
BTW - Nice to finally meet you today Phil H, good call from Ben Hollands, yourself and John, well done...

The reserves game would have to be one of the worst games of football I've ever witnessed - amazingly Centrals only had 1 goal for the first 3.5 quarters yet were still a chance to win!
The league game was quite lacklustre, the wind playing havoc. Still, a win's a win.
The electronic scoreboard looked pretty good, tho the operator made several errors throughout both games.
Any idea of a crowd number - looked to be pushing 1000 (tho that could be me being a bit generous).
No sign of pram lady.
All up, a win's a win.

Thanks Thiele, from the description Bruce gave it sounded like it was 4 goals to 2.

Reserves half time
West 3.0.18
Centrals 1.4.10
Reserves three quarter time
West 3.2.20
Centrals 1.7.13
I jokingly said that 5 goals would win it - I didn't rule it out for most of the last quarter either!

So by comparison, it was a shoot out in the last?

Westies were never in the hunt and still burned a lot of the ball...They had their faIr share but consistently turned it over, especially going forward and just blazing into a short West forward line. Very disappointing crowd wise and surprised there weren't all that many Doggies fans there, in fact i would have thought there were more Westies fans than Centrals.

Centrals fans don't care anymore, they're over success.
