20,258 was the total attendance for this round. This is the third highest Round 7 total since 1991:

1993: 21,765
2008: 20,258
2000: 19,361
1995: 16,878

The average crowd for each match this year is 3672.71. This is the highest average up to Round 7 since 2002 - 3761.04.

Thats a good effort, but if the record was going to be broken on any occasion it was going to be this round with no AFL footy in Adelaide, and the only game on at all being a sham. Then with the the SANFL round having 3 games starting different times. Reasonable weather too. Still a good effort though.

while I commend your effort bayman, a better barometer would have been how few regulars went to multipe games. we'd have then seen how many of the other crowd had returned.
a good result, but I suspect a lot of the numbers were us lot attending multiple games to somewhat bloat the statistics.
(not intended to be a dampener, incidentally)...
