RESERVES
Port Adelaide cruised to a dominant 53 point victory against the Redlegs in the early game at the Parade.
6 goals in 10 minutes during the first quarter set up the win for the Magpies, who led by 19 points at quarter time. The Magpies dominated the contest up to 3/4 time, kicking 9 goals to 3 in the middle two quarters to lead by 55 points at the final change.
Norwood, who had struggled to kick consecutive goals all night, kicked three in a row before Terry Milera's 3rd goal finished off the match.
The match was marred by a 5 minute brawl after the 3/4 time siren which involved every player on the field and many punches thrown.
It was a real team effort for the Magpies, with winners on every line, but it was the Aboriginal duo of Michael Clinch and Terry Milera who set up the victory in the first half. They had 5 goals between them to half time and set up at least another 3. Josh Taylor continued his outstanding form with another BOG effort with 3 goals across half forward, whilst Kerren Hall's effort in the ruck in the first half was a catalyst to the Magpies continued attacks.
Norwood struggled for winners up forward and were beaten in the midfield too easily. Stephen Doyle had a strong second half with 2 goals and a number of marks up forward, whilst Luke Nitschke, Ziggie Alwan and Matthew Bartemucci had plenty of the ball.

LEAGUE
Six goals from pocket rocket Josh Donohue has led Norwood to a comfortable 22 point victory against a brave Port Adelaide.
A 6 goal to 2 second quarter saw the Redlegs break out to a match winning 29 point lead at half time. The Magpies had no bench by half time as they were rocked by leg injuries to Jeremy Clayton and Stephen Eichner, and a broken collarbone to 17 year old Zane Kirkwood in a dirty incident involving Nick Lower.
Norwood stretched that lead early in the third quarter thanks to Josh Donohues fourth goal. But the Magpies weren't finished and piled on five unanswered goals in a strong 15 minute period to cut the margin down to just 6 points. Josh Donohues fifth goal for the match just before the 3/4 time siren steadied the legs and they led by 12 points at the final stage.
The last quarter was a dour affair, with Sam Rowe kicking the first of the quarter which could have broke the backs of the Magpies. Mark Dolling replied immediately, but it was Donohues night as his sixth goal was the sealer halfway through the quarter.
The Magpies ran out of puff in the end and missed Clayton in the middle in the second quarter where they were thrashed convincingly. Whilst Port attacked heavily in the last quarter, Norwoods defence held strong and their runners moved the ball out of danger quite easily.
Best for the victors were the obvious Josh Donohue and David Trotter who had a ton of ball in the middle. James Gallagher was his busy self, as was Matthew Dawes, whilst Sam Rowe and Stuart Bown were two of the most impressive talls on the ground.
Daniel Hargraves continued his run of form with another 5 goal haul, but led a lone hand up forward with minimal support from Waterhouse, Maric and Perry. Perkins and Lees played well on Walker and created plenty of run, whilst Elstone and De Pasquale had plenty of it as well.
Norwood will be happy with a solid win which could help kick start the season, whilst the Magpies will be pleased they fought out a game they could very well have lost by 10+ goals
