Well done Mots'. Nice to have one of SA's finest acknowledged.
Also father of football legend Peter Motley, much loved by South Australian and Victorian Blues fans.
Great footballing family.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Motley was the first person who I ever heard who used the word c**t at a 3/4 time address at Prossie. Mum wacked me on the head when I asked what it meant & I was'nt allowed to go out to the huddles again.
So yeah, he's in my HOF.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

Geof Motley is a worth Hall of Famer, should have been in there when it was established.

I'd like to thank the Victorians for our token hall of fame nominee this year.

FFS how Carey hasn't been inducted this year when persons with lesser careers such as Thompson, Brown, Hocking and that Woodduck umpire from Queensland has, is a travesty

Soooooo, its OK to recognise the most games umpired in a "major" league but not the most games played in a major/state league?????
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

There was an interesting interview with Geoff and Peter on ABC Grandstand last year.

That young feller had so much talent. His injuries are a tragedy.
My child is growing up without SANFL footy. It gives me the double blues.

He didn't play in Victoria :)

As I posted in the history forum, a little known fact about Motley is he was appointed as Glenelg captain-coach in 1962 but Port refused to clear him, so he returned to the Magpies.
