Port have to strengthen their back line, i think how good Achee is up fwd, he's a backman & the best in the comp, you must keep him there then these lower sides won't get as close as their getting, he's thrown from one end of the ground to another week in week out, back yourself in with Batson CHF, Hargy & Waterhouse on the F/FWD line & go with it.
Thats only a suggestion.

Great point and totally agree NM, Achee on Saturday at one stage took a mark in the back line, kicked it forward, got the hands back and kicked the goal, the next play was pretty much a mirror of the play before.
Keep him in the backline and opposition sides will certainly be nullified.

Port have struggled at the Parade a few times over the last few years when going in as favourite. We won last year largely thanks to Tredrea who i think kicked 7.
I dont want to sound pessimistic but i think Norwood will go in as slight favourites.

norwood slight favourites

boy whatever your smoking i want a pound of it
port WILL BE FAVOURITES & WILL WIN EASILY & remember norwood coughed up a 7 goal lead to draw at home against south 2 weeks ago
ports form = reasonable
norwoods form = atrocious

I'm giving an opinion based on previous matches, when Port should have won and didn't, including games against Norwood. Port generally struggle at the Parade. Norwood dominated South in the first half in their last game, and if they play like that against Port i can't see the Magpies fighting back like South did.
IF Port play 4 qtrs of decent footy they'll win, but the problem is they haven't done that for a few years now, so thats why as a supporter i'm not looking at this game with that much confidence.

gww, norwood did not dominate the first half of their game against south, south infact dominated the first quarter but didn't put it on the scoreboard, norwood did however dominate the 2nd quarter, if port do not win this game by a minimum of 5 goals they may as well start pre season for next year & with a new coach

Probably fair enough, but they did have a fair lead on the scoreboard at half time, so effectively they did dominate the first half

Yeah Port SHOULD win this game, but the team isn't playing 4 qtrs of football and is having lapses, which i'm sure all opposition supporters have noticed. Getting a new coach, from my perspective as a supporter may not be a bad thing, especially if these lapses don't stop soon.

If Norwood dont win this game THEN we truly are in trouble. We should have Campbell and Jericho coming in and we should be hurting from the criticisms from within and without. Port might loose 3 players to injury so I say we are favourites. Geez Glenelg and Strut supporters get cocky after a couple of wins!

These games are generally tough to pick as ladder standing and recent form often don't come into the equation, such is the nature of the rivalry.
I wouldn't go putting $$ on us, but I don't think we're completely without a chance.

if you are talking about me, it isn't anything about being cocky i'm stating what i think & what is wrong with that ?

& i must know a little bit because (& without trying to sound cocky) i am leading the sanfl tipping at this stage
ps, i never bet on games until i know the named teams so when i see the teams my thoughts could change

It seems sometimes these are the only games the Norwood players truly care about, so recent form can be misleading.
Even in finishing last, we still managed to win both games against Port and help keep then out of the finals.
So the Legs will be fired up and giving it their best shot.
Hopefully it will be good enough.

We’ll win.
Campbell and Jericho to come in.
